3 Months After Surgery

It's been 3 months since my right foot was operated on (2 months for my left). Everything is going great. The soarness & aches in my feet are almost totally gone.  I can be on my feet longer & longer everyday without fatigue. The chronic back, knee, and leg pain I've endured my entire life has almost completely diminished. My quality of life has already dramatically improved, and my healing & body adjusting is only at about 75% complete. There is still minor bruising around the surgery sites of both feet. My foot actually looks normal now as there is an arch present (see the before & after pic below)! Hopefully by this summer, I'll be able to wear flip-flops and walk on the beach without pain for the first time on my life!

  1. Hi,

I'm glad the recovery went well! I just had my right foot done 3 weeks ago. If anyone wants to read my blog on recovery you can find it at:

  4. How long do you feel that you will be able to jog or run?

In this video around 5:07, Dr. Graham says that around 4-6 week post-op, patients are running and jogging, I'm very skeptical of this claim, can you comment?

  5. i was able to exercise within 4 weeks after the surgery. i don't jog but i'm a pro boxer and was able to have a full boxing workout within 4 weeks - which does include lots of foot movement. my feet did get fatigued pretty quickly the first few weeks, but that dissipated with time.

  6. I am horribly flat footed. I don't even have any space beneath my foot. I am considering getting corrective surgery done after reading this post. I am tired of not being able to work out for long before my feet ache.
